How we pick
- Licensed only. We start from the Florida DBPR licensee file: Certified and Registered Air Conditioning (CAC, RA) and Mechanical (CMC, RM) contractors with status Current/Active.
- Verified, not scraped. We match each license to the company's own website (the site must show the license number, or the exact business name plus a Florida location) and record facts only from that site, with the page URL and date.
- Quality threshold. A company gets its own page only with at least 6 verified fields. Everyone else still appears as a license row on their city page.
- Complaint records shown. Each listing shows whether the company appears in the state licensing board's public discipline reports, and links to its BBB profile when the company publishes one.
- No pay-to-rank. Lists are ordered by how much we could verify, then years licensed. We don't publish ratings or reviews of our own.
